We’re searching for a resourceful and enthusiastic Financial Crime Analyst, who will amongst other things, support the day-to-day operations of the First Line Financial Crime Operations function.

Here's what you will be doing:

  • Manage and work complex AML/CTF and fraud investigations from end to end, including the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs). Investigate transaction monitoring alerts to identify suspicious activity.

  • Investigate sanction/PEP/adverse media alerts.

  • Liaise with other financial institutions and law enforcement authorities.

  • Proactively identify financial crime trends through data analysis and develop robust mitigation.

  • Support the optimisation and update of existing processes, systems and procedures.

  • Liaise with other business departments and act as a subject matter expert on Financial Crime topics.

  • Support with delivering counter financial crime training and onboarding new team members.

  • Handle escalations from the Customer Service team and provide practical advice on required actions.

  • Managing and prioritising a varied workload whilst adhering to SLAs.

Requirements

You’ll need to have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Counter Financial Crime function

  • Complex investigations experience

  • Exposure to counter financial crime systems and intelligence tools

  • Transactional monitoring experience

  • Working knowledge of Financial Crime and AML regulations

  • A cooperative character and you enjoy working as part of a dynamic team

You’ll have an advantage if you:

  • A tertiary degree, preferably in Finance, Economics or Law

  • Have worked in a start-up

  • Experience delivering counter financial crime training

Office/remote working:

Working remotely has changed many of our lives for the better and we are behind continuing the benefits of flexibility. We have a beautiful office in Holborn, which, when used for the right things, can be a useful and powerful tool. Currently, in the Financial Crime team we see a blended model of working 2 days a week in the office, so candidates that are able to travel in occasionally are the best fit for our current working practices.
