What you will be doing

As a Head of Fraud Prevention, reporting to the Director of Financial Crime Operations, you will be responsible for leading our Fraud Team and make it a key function in Satispay global growth. Using a data-driven approach, you will develop a strategy that combines effective risk mitigation and a great customer experience. Among other things, our tasks will include:

  • Developing a fraud prevention strategy, using data to drive decision making and continuously improve processes

  • Being responsible for the company’s fraud mitigation approach and related execution, leading the design, vision and strategy to improve processes effectiveness and scalability and allow the business to grow

  • Accountable for ensuring that the Fraud Team meets the expected KPIs and quality standards in order to support the expansion of the customer base

  • Being a strong communicator who can represent Fraud Team with relevant company stakeholders providing constant feedback about fraud trends and their impact on new services

  • Building a network of contacts with other PSPs and law enforcement agencies in order to cooperate in prevention, investigations and loss recovery

  • Leading recruitment and strategic placement of required staff across the Fraud Team, following the growth of the company

  • Mentoring and training the Fraud Team, improving team capabilities and skills

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Can-do mindset and data-driven approach

  • 5+ years of experience, with a solid track record of success in fraud prevention, in a fast-growing tech company

  • Experience in developing a fraud prevention framework across multiple countries and jurisdictions

  • Strong understanding and exposure to the latest emerging AI and fraud prevention trends (such as AI and OSINT)

  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks within the financial industry, particularly in respect of SEPA, PSD2, and AML

  • Excellent communicator. You are proactive, clear, concise, and comfortable speaking publicly

  • Fluent written and spoken English; Italian, French or German are considered a plus

Logistic & Salary

The role is based in Luxembourg. Business Trips to Milan (Headquarter) may occur.
