The BSA/AML Compliance Analyst will report to and assist the BSA/AML Compliance Manager with the implementation and administration of all aspects of the BSA/AML and OFAC compliance programs. The Analyst will perform various reviews and monitoring pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, anti-money laundering regulations, OFAC sanctions programs, and Customer Identification Program rules following industry standards and regulatory guidance to ensure that the company’s compliance efforts conform with company policy, sponsor bank policy, and applicable law. Specifically, the Analyst will review, investigate and disposition all KYC/KYB, OFAC, PEP, and transaction monitoring alerts. The Analyst will also assist the BSA/AML Manager in administering the company’s customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) efforts. Finally, the Analyst will work on various BSA/AML projects as assigned by the BSA/AML Manager in furtherance of the BSA/AML program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
BSA/AML/OFAC**
. Review, investigate and disposition CIP, OFAC, PEP and transaction monitoring alerts and cases
. Investigate unusual activity and prepare SAR referrals
. Perform CDD and EDD as assigned by the BSA/AML Manager
. Assist the BSA/AML Manager in refining tools used for CIP, CDD and AML monitoring programs
. Assist the BSA/AML Manager in the management and implementation of the enterprise BSA and OFAC risk assessments, policies and procedures, training, internal controls and mitigation processes
. Assist the BSA/AML Manager in preparing for independent audits, internal board and management meetings
. Work on BSA/AML training material for employees and provide compliance guidance and coaching to employees as requested by the BSA/AML Manager
. Maintain knowledge of the company’s BSA/AML policy, program, and desktop procedures to ensure a working knowledge of all segments of the BSA/AML processes within the company
. Stay abreast of financial crime trends, relevant regulations and compliance standards.
. Complete additional BSA/AML projects as requested by the BSA/AML Manager

GENERAL
. Provide assistance to the Compliance Department and other departments as needed
. Maintain a proficient knowledge of all applicable company policies and procedures

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
. Bachelor’s degree preferred
. 4+ years of experience in a BSA/AML, fraud investigation or related role
. ACAMS or related certification a plus
. Proven decision making, deductive and investigative abilities with attention to detail and accuracy
. Understanding of general banking operations activities, products and services, and related compliance regulations
. Strong knowledge of money laundering /terrorist financing/SAR or equivalent investigation processes and controls
. Ability to proactively identify and assess potential compliance issues and risks
. Ability to resolve issues, work independently, and meet deadlines
. Strong interpersonal, writing, communication and organizational skills
. Good attention to detail and ability to document case investigations in a detailed and logical manner
