Meet, Emily Harris

Emily is a fintech and financial crime geek with 10 years of experience in compliance across UK, EU and New Zealand. Originally hailing from New Zealand and now based in London, she has experience in retail banking, working in Big 4 specialising in financial crime requirements for legal and accounting firms and has spent the last few years in payments compliance.

She is currently the Head of Compliance and part of the founding team for Fiat Republic, a banking-as-a-service provider that specialises in helping cryptocurrency platforms get access to fiat banking services. Through serving its consortium of member-customers it aims to improve the standards of compliance across the crypto industry, help them navigate the fast-moving regulatory landscape and advocate on their behalf with banks, law enforcement and regulators.

Emily holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Auckland and is CAMS certified.
