Senior Manager, Compliance at Checkout.com

Checkout.com is actively looking for a Compliance and AML professional who will take the initiative to manage our UK financial crime and compliance program. The position will report into the Director of Financial Crime Compliance and require close work with key-stakeholders across all business functions and the UK and French regulatory authority.

What You'll Be Doing

    • Collaborate with other internal functions and teams to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and contractual requirements

    • Act as the main point of contact in Compliance for the development of new products

    • Investigate and where required, escalate any major compliance concerns to Management, recommend remediation actions and enhance existing processes accordingly

    • Provide oversight and compliance advice to local entities and business units to ensure risk management and mitigation policies are adopted and adequately addressed

    • Participate and manage in Group wide and local AML/CTF related projects

    • Assist in conducting compliance assurance exercises on AML/CTF program

    • Contribute to the maintenance and review of policies and procedures, ensuring they'ree up to date with all regulatory and international best practices

    • Conduct training on AML/CTF developments and typologies to champion good risk and compliance within the UK team

    • Highlight any potential concerns/risks and proactively share best risk management practices

    • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and appropriate steps to mitigate the risks

    • Develop compliance reporting as per regulatory and governance requirements

About You

    • A minimum of 7 years working experience in compliance with a preferred focus on the areas of payments AML/CTF, internal audit or risk management within financial services industries

    • Robust and detailed knowledge with strong analytical skills to implement and deliver product launch solutions

    • Excellent organisational and partner management skills

    • Readiness to expand technical knowledge in a broad range of projects

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for presentation of analysis and recommendations

    • Reliable when working independently, with sound judgment for when to escalate issues

    • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving skills and a flexible approach to work

    • ACAMS certified would be considered and advantage
